Upcoming Speaker Series Event:
Emily Chang, Anchor, Bloomberg Technology and Author of BROTOPIA
on Thursday, March 29 at 10:30AM PT

In 2017, not a month went by without major revelations about discrimination or harassment in Hollywood, politics, the media, and beyond. As the #MeToo movement spread, millions of women bravely came forward to share stories of abuse and sexual harassment. As we begin 2018, one thing is clear: the desire for change has become palpable.

In BROTOPIA: Breaking Up the Boys’ Club of Silicon Valley, Bloomberg TV journalist Emily Chang takes on the industry that has perhaps had the most profound impact on the future of humanity and created the greatest wealth of our generation - technology. Its inventions have become integral to our modern lives and instigated extraordinary change—but behind the scenes, it’s far from a utopia.

Join us as LinkedIn’s Managing News Editor, Caroline Fairchild, sits down with Emily to discuss what Emily has discovered about the staggering gender inequality in the tech industry, and to understand more about how we got here and how can we foster real change.

Fostering Productivity and Success

The LinkedIn Speaker Series is one of our favorite ways to support our mission of making professionals more productive and successful. We do this by exposing our employees and members to inspiring ideas and innovative thinkers from around the globe. The program also reinforces one of our core company values – that relationships matter.

Relationships Matter

Through our employees’ relationships, we’ve been fortunate and proud to host some of the world’s most interesting and ground-breaking speakers. Our guests join us as a way to support our mission and to influence LinkedIn members worldwide.

Local Impact

So far, we’re thrilled at our reach. The LinkedIn Speaker Series is open to our 10,000 LinkedIn employees in 30 offices around the world. Most of our events are hosted at our headquarters in Mountain View, CA where approximately 300 employees attend in person. We also stream the event in real-time to employees who can’t be in the room, and record it to play back later. We’ve also hosted speaking events in our offices around the world, including New York, Singapore, Dublin and Sydney.
